The Hidden Cross-Reactor

Traditional skin prick tests showed positive results for multiple pollens, cats, dogs, and horses. TAC-300 molecular testing revealed that many “positives” were due to cross-reactive Polcalcin (Phl p 7), a pan-allergen. Only grass pollen (Phl p 1/5), birch (Bet v 1), cat (Fel d 1), dog (Can f 1), and horse (Equ c 1) were genuine. Without molecular testing, Thomas would have been treated for allergens he wasn't truly sensitized to.
The Life-Saving Connection

After a severe reaction to a Thai meal, it was impossible to identify whether seafood, peanuts, or soy caused it. TAC-300 discovered the Tropomyosin Syndrome: house dust mite tropomyosin (Der p 10) was cross-reacting with shrimp tropomyosin (Pen m 1), a risk marker for severe anaphylaxis. The trigger was NOT peanuts or soy. TAC-300 correctly linked a “harmless” mite allergy to life-threatening seafood reactions.
The Early Warning System
Nestor, 22
Nestor had respiratory allergies to olive and mugwort pollen, then developed oral allergy syndrome with peach. TAC-300 identified the nsLTP pathway connecting pollen and food: Pru p 3 (peach), Mal d 3 (apple), Cor a 8 (hazelnut), Jug r 3 (walnut), Ara h 9 (peanut), ALL risk markers for severe anaphylaxis. TAC-300 flagged dangerous nut sensitizations BEFORE any clinical reaction occurred, enabling preventive emergency preparedness.
